About the project

The chaos of grief.jpg_GenerativeFill.jpg

The Grief Project is an initiative aimed at sharing my own experience of loss and grieving in collaboration with the shared stories/experiences of others in an effort to help connect those struggling with grief to something that will help provide different perspectives, ways of processing grief, and ways of coping with their loss(es). This specific loss and experience (my initial inspiration) impacted me in a very unusual and profound way and it made me realize just how vital and impactful the last words ever spoken with a loved one can be. In sharing my own experience and perspective and combining it with a diverse array of other experiences, my hope is that others can feel less lost, angry, confused, scared, and understand and process their grief in a way that allows them to heal and let go.

How to get involved:

I encourage those who do have a story of their own, a conversation with a lost loved one, to be a part of the project and share your story with us. You can get in touch via email, Facebook or fill out the form on the site. Share as much or as little detail as possible.

Important elements to include:

Who this person is and why they matter to you- just share a bit of back story and why this was an important person in your life. You can then include anything you want to share about them. Then share the last conversation you had with that individual, the last words either of you got to speak, in as little or as much detail as you are comfortable with sharing. If you would like to remain anonymous please share this as well. If you are willing please also include your favorite photo of the two of you together.
